Llanhilleth Area Regeneration Scheme
Robert Chapman & Company project managed this local authority promoted scheme and have had significant involvement in helping to achieve the wide-ranging objectives. The project has economic, social and environmental needs with a broad number of stakeholders.
The project has included:
Relocation of a primary school.
Creation of new road infrastructure for improved access.
Construction of new business units.
Rehabilitation of former Miners Institute to become a 'healthy living centre' for the community.
Creation of a new sports pavilion and members club.
Church Street , Ebbw Vale
Robert Chapman & Company were part of a multidisciplinary team commissioned to undertake an important research and master planning exercise for this site. The local community were invited to a workshop during this crucial consulting stage of the project. This provided an opportunity local people to discuss leisure, social and voluntary prospects, as well as business presence, employment opportunities and crime. As one local Councillor explained, "The aspirations and needs of the local community are paramount to the future developments and this workshop helped inform the Masterplan to achieve our aims."
